And the reviews are in!
"Just wanted to say that NAHRA was thriving at the Central Coast field test over the week end in CA. The weather was optimal and participation was fantastic thanks to Johnny Walker and all the club members for putting on a class act event. And also to Harry Williams, our West Region Director for being there, and representing NAHRA in a positive manner. It was very uplifting. There is a new buzz out here, and we hope to gain some new clubs and revive some others. I have confidence that we can become a viable region once agaiCoast. There were a good number of entries and some really great dogs. I enjoyed judging their work. Everyone pitched in to make it a great weekend. Great Job !!!!! "

"I would like to offer my congratulations to Central Coast Hunting Retriever Club on having an absolutely GREAT event!!! I take my hat off to all of those very hard working club members. They are special. You have a club to be proud of.
"What a fantastic group of folks gathered there to test their dogs. There was alot more going on than that though. Currently CCHRC is the last remaining NAHRA club in California. A state that at one time had the most clubs. California still has more NAHRA members than any of the other states in the West Region. And let me tell ya, they are as good of a bunch of retrieverites as you'll find anywhere!!!
"The entrants were mostly from California but also had dogs representing Alberta, Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, and Washington.
"I very much appreciated the gracious & enthusiastic welcome that I received from Central Coast HRC and all of the entrants. Thank you so much.
"There was a common theme: We like running NAHRA, we need more tests.
There [were] discussions by members that were initiating actions to have other tests. That is a topic that I fully support. I must admit that I have some selfish reasons for that. I want to return next year with my sweetheart and my dogs to run two tests. I can train before & inbetween the tests. I can tour some of the MANY wonderful wineries there. And go to the ocean beaches.
"So as they say there: "Come early, stay late."
~ Harry Williams (NAHRA Western Regional Director)
