  • The audit/observer will be able to observe all the instruction for the different level of dogs and their needs. You will be able to take notes and ask questions. There will be lunch break where there will be some Q&A.

  • You will have a working spot with your dog. Bill will evaluate your dog's level and provide instruction specifically for you and your dog.

Training Seminar with Bill Totten

It will be a one day training seminar with working spots and observer spots.  

This seminar will focus on dogs that are looking to transition from Junior level to Senior level. 

Working spot - You will be able to work one dog that can do basic Junior marks. The handler and working dog will get to learn and do drills that will teach your dog the fundamentals it needs to advance to Senior. 

Observer spot - You will have the opportunity to watch and listen to the training methods used for each of the dogs. You will be able to ask questions throughout the day and during the lunch break.

We will have an hour lunch break (lunch will be provided for everyone) for questions and answers with Bill

Cost - 

  • Working spot - Club member $120
  • Observer - Club member $40
  • Working spot - Non-club member $150
  • Observer - Non-club member $60
  • RSVP no later than April 14, 2023
  • Payment needs to be received by April 19, 2023

About the Trainer

Bill Totten has been training retrievers for more than 30 years. He has trained and successfully competed in AKC Field Trials and Hunt Tests. He really focuses on the foundation that is needed to be successful. He understands that there are differences in the way the each breed will learn. Bill is extremely knowledgeable and is a very good teacher. This is the perfect opportunity to learn from one of the best!

There is limited shade so please bring shade cloths/fans and plenty of water for you and your dog.

A Limited Liability Hold Harmless waiver will need to be signed by all.
