March News!

Sunday, March 11, 2018 8:53 PM | Anonymous

Hello CCHRC Members & Friends,

Hope everyone is getting in some great spring training and doing well in whatever venue you run with your dog.

Just a quick reminder:  We are having our March training day March 24th.  All information is on the club website under events. Please RSVP so we can plan accordingly for the number of dogs coming.

We are also in the middle of our annual club shotgun raffle for a Weatherby over-under 12 gauge. If you are interested in purchasing or selling tickets, please contact Jason Smith.

The biggest news is our AKC hunt test scheduled for April 19-22 is approaching quite quickly. We know most people won't be able to take time off work for the single Master test on Thursday/ Friday, but it's going to be Saturday and Sunday when all three stakes are running.  We will need all hands on deck to help out.  If you haven't already spoken to a HT committee person about helping, please contact Jason Smith, Maribel Acedo or Becky Williams about volunteering.  The more help we have, the more successful the test will be. Some key people we really need are gunners to shoot flyers and folks to help set up the tailgate party.  We have a bunch of really great raffle items this year, and it would be a shame to not have a good party to bring people there to win them!  We will also need help with the judges' dinner for set-up, cooking and clean up.  We will be finalizing a lot of things at our March training day during the general meeting, as well collecting shotgun raffle money, and hopefully handing out more tickets to be sold.  Please try to arrive on time early enough to air your dogs, get ready, and participate in the meeting.

As always, if you have any ideas for club events or suggestions for anything you would like to get out of your club membership, please share your thoughts.
